Congratulations to E100’s Brittany Levesque, BSN, RN who ended Nurses Week with a tremendous surprise—a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses! The DAISY Award recognizes the extraordinary skill and compassion nurses provide patients and their families in often difficult situations. Brittany was nominated for the exceptional care she showed an elderly couple in their final days, making sure they had time together to reminisce about their 70+ years of love. Thank you, Brittany for your thoughtfulness, love and true concern for your patients that echo the highest values of nursing.

Congratulations to DAISY Award recipient Becky Zeiba, MSN, RNC-NIC, one of the many talented nurses on the Special Care Nursery. The DAISY Award recognizes the extraordinary skill and compassion nurses provide patients and their families in often difficult situations. Becky was nominated by Special Care Nursery mom Alyssa Rifkin, who gave birth to her son eleven weeks early—“She exemplifies true compassion and empathy, with a hint of humor and comedic relief. Not a stranger to the adversities of life, Becky is able to relate to her patient families and share her unbelievable knowledge with enthusiasm, understanding and heart.”

We are proud to announce our DAISY Award winner Renee Maloney, RN, Pregnancy Care Center! The DAISY Award is nationwide program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary care given by nurses. Renee has spearheaded CMC’s Roots for Recovery program, which provides addiction treatment and recovery services to pregnant moms and babies.
