CMC is at the forefront in advanced diagnostic medical imaging. CT scans are an important tool in diagnosing and assessing a range of medical conditions. Our equipment is located close to our Emergency Department, which is especially important for rapid treatment of trauma and stroke. Our CT (computed tomography) imaging equipment includes:
- a 256-slice scanner that allows for dramatically lower scan times, reduced radiation exposure and reduced need for intravenous contrast media. This can scan a person from head to toe in less than two seconds. The scanner is also able to “freeze” motion, which allows imaging of small structures at high resolution. The scanner has a weight capacity of 675 lbs with a 78 cm opening.
- a 16-slice subsecond scanner with CT fluoroscropic capabilities. This machine can be used for: routine exams, injection studies, vascular and bone 3D imaging. CT fluoroscopy enables interventional procedures such as biopsies, pain management and drainage procedures with CT guidance. This 16-slice CT accomodates bariatric patients with a weight capacity of 650 lbs and an 80 cm opening.
