Philip J. Fitzpatrick, MD, FACC, completed his undergraduate degree in psychology and biology from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical Center in NY and a fellowship in cardiology at New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston, MA.
Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, Dr. Fitzpatrick was an attending physician with the Interventional Cardiology Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA for fifteen years. Additionally, he was the Medical Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Dr. Fitzpatrick is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
