particular medical and/or physical conditions. Our staff will coordinate your
exercise program with appropriate lipid and diabetes monitoring, smoking
cessation, blood pressure management, stress management and weight loss
with Catholic Medical Center’s
New England Heart Institute, Cholesterol Management Center, Diabetes Resource
Institute, Nutrition Services and Community Services Department, we create a
plan to help you improve your health.

Helping you live with cancer
referral from your cancer treatment physician, our nurses and clinical exercise
physiologists develop an individual exercise program to help you feel better
while you receive treatment to recover from cancer.

Getting you back to life
After you have had a heart attack, and/or coronary intervention or heart
surgery, participating in monitored exercise classes in the outpatient cardiac
rehabilitation program at The Wellness Center can help strengthen your heart.
An education series provides information about heart disease and how to manage
your cardiac risk factors. You also receive individual
counseling about healthy nutrition, smoking cessation and stress management.
Our cardiovascular nurse specialists, clinical exercise physiologists and
dietitians assist you throughout the program.
