CMC already placed the highest priority on a clean and safe environment. Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, we have further enhanced our comprehensive safety policies and procedures at all of our facilities.

To help keep you safe, we’ve:

  • Dedicated separate care areas for patients who have COVID-19 symptoms
  • Separated COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients in isolated inpatient nursing units
  • Rearranged our lobby & seating areas to help maintain social distancing and/or having patients wait in their cars
  • Modified our registration process to reduce your contact with others
  • Placed safe distance markers on floor at waiting and check in areas
  • Enhanced our frequent and vigorous cleaning and disinfecting procedures of high-touch, public surface areas

  • Implemented:
    • Screening patients prior to appointments for COVID-19 symptoms
    • A masking policy-all staff are wearing face masks and asking you to wear one too
    • Limited entry and exit points
Temporary visitor restrictions
  • Tested patients for COVID-19 prior to surgery
  • Monitored continuously the health of our staff
  • Used virtual care when available and appropriate

What you can do:

  • Avoid potential exposure to COVID-19 and quarantining ahead of your surgery or procedure
  • Wear a mask in the community and at CMC and our outpatient practices
  • Adhere to all social distancing cues and reading all posted signs

  • Let us know if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sudden onset of fatigue, or the sudden loss of smell or taste)
  • Wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizer particularly upon entry and exit. Dispensers are available throughout the hospital and outpatient practices.
