You may call at any time for an update on your loved one. Due to confidentiality, however, limited information is given over the phone.
We request that one family member be the spokesperson for the family. Responsibilities of the spokesperson include calling the ICU for current patient information and then updating the rest of the family or significant others. We do welcome phone calls, but please remember that the nurse is also caring for your loved one. Time at the telephone is time away from the patient. Voicing Concerns
