Mayor Gatsas visits CMC for Nurses Week

On May 7, Mayor Gatsas joined the nurses at CMC to celebrate Nurses Week and his speedy recovery from his recent hospitalization. “It is because of all of you that I am here and will celebrate another birthday later this month,” stated Mayor Gatsas. “From my family and myself I thank you for your compassion, open hearts and dedication to heal.”

“Nurses play an enormously vital role in providing quality health care at CMC and it is important to recognize them for their dedication to delivering compassionate, excellent patient care each and every day,” added Dr Pepe, President & CEO, Catholic Medical Center.

Mayor Gatsas also presented a proclamation declaring it Nurses Week in Manchester. National Nurses Week, celebrated May 6-12, honors the contributions of nurses across the country. It is only fitting that the theme for this year’s National Nurses Week is “Nurses: Leading the Way.” Catholic Medical Center’s nurses have lead the way for Manchester Mayor Gatsas’ recovery.

As part of this year’s celebration, CMC will host various events throughout the week to honor the nursing staff.
