About New England Sleep Center
Diagnosing Your Sleep Disorder
The New England Sleep Center at Catholic Medical Center can uncover the cause of your sleep disturbance and daytime sleepiness — or the sleep problems of someone you live with. By coordinating treatment of your sleep disorder with ongoing healthcare from your primary care and specialty care physicians, we help ensure that all of your health needs are addressed. Early intervention and detection may also reduce the serious health consequences of a sleep disorder.
The New England Sleep Center is different from sleep labs because we test for more than just sleep-related breathing disorders. Our multidisciplinary care team of physicians, neurologists, respiratory therapists and sleep technologists specializing in sleep disorders works collaboratively to diagnose and treat your sleep disorder. They use non-invasive state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to determine the source of your sleep disturbance, before designing an individualized treatment plan. Sleep Study with the Comforts of Home
A sleep study is often prescribed to determine your specific sleeping disorder. This observational time enables the physician to effectively diagnose the problem, its underlying causes and offer treatment options that will work for you.
Each of our four homelike sleep-study rooms has a double bed, television, dresser and night stand. You are welcome to bring a few personal items to help you feel comfortable during your sleep study. Insurance Coverage and Referrals
Sleep studies and consultations are usually covered by insurance, and the New England Sleep Center accepts most major insurance. Please contact your insurance provider for pre-certification and referral requirements. The New England Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
