Valvular Heart Disease is a disease involving one or more of the valves of the heart. The New England Heart Institute of CMC's cardiologists are board-certified in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and non-invasive cardiology. Venous Ulcer

 
 
A venous skin ulcer, also called a stasis leg ulcer, is a shallow wound that develops when the leg veins do not move blood back toward the heart properly. The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center has a state-of-the-art facility and five physicians with expertise in healing diabetic foot ulcers and venous stasis ulcers; CMC handles over 3,000 patient visists for ulcers each year. We also  provide nutritional education, psychosocial support, and referrals to appropriate healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best care.

Vertigo

 
 
When you're dizzy, you may feel lightheaded or lose your balance. If you feel that the room is spinning, you have vertigo; and sometimes it can be a symptom of other disorders. There could be a variety of conditions that cause dizziness, loss of balance, or vertigo. Our therapists have been specially trained to assess and treat vertigo and balance dysfunction. As part of CMC, the outpatient rehabilitation team offers the very best in therapeutic expertise.
