Sleep Study

Sleep study is a test that measures how well you sleep. It can also let your physician know how your body responds to sleep, if you're getting restorative sleep, any sleep problems that may be occuring, and how your body responds to them. The test consists of monitoring brain waves for states of sleep, respirations, heart reactions, oxygen saturations, limb movements, snoring, sleep positions, and how restful your sleep is. A sleep study helps your doctor determine if you have a sleep disorder, its severity, and its treatment. This is done in a comfortable, home-like environment with a qualified sleep technician. Improved sleep can enhance your overall health. The New England Sleep Center at CMC is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
