Laceration

 
 
A laceration is a jagged wound or cut to the skin. The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center has a state-of-the-art facility and five physicians covering specialties such as podiatry, vascular, plastic, and general wound healing. CMC provides consultation with a vascular surgeon.  We also provide nutritional education, psychosocial support, and referrals to appropriate healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best care.

Leg Swelling/Edema

 
 
Edema is a swelling caused by fluid in a tissue of the body; usually in the feet, ankles or legs. Our state- of-the-art facilty offers walk-in service for symptoms of edema that is quick, convenient, and friendly with minimal wait times. Quality care is provided by a medical team of physicians, mid level providers, nurses and technicians. On site lab and x-ray services. No appointment necessary; M-F, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and weekends 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

A lesion is a tissue abnormality caused by disease or trauma. CMC's Surgical Care Group physicians, physician assistants and helpful support staff will guide you through your treatment. Lipids

 
 
For 20 years, the Cholesterol Management Center at the New England Heart Institute (NEHI) has provided state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of lipid abnormalities. Our team includes Peter Klementowicz, MD a board-certified lipidologist and cardiologist, Kristine Ziemba APRN, and Lynn Scott APRN, as well as certified clinical lipid specialists and experienced cardiac nurse practitioners from the NEHI practice, dietitians, and medical  assistants/phlebotomists. Together, we partner with patients on the best way to manage their lipid abnormalities and their risk for cardiovascular disease.

Lymphedema is a blockage of the lymph vessels that drain fluid from tissues throughout the body and allow immune cells to travel where they are needed. CMC's rehabilitation team, which includes therapists certified in lymphedema treatment, are specifically trained to assist you in controlling the severity and symptoms of your lymphedema with the goal of educating you for your long term self-management health and wellness.
