Poisson Dental Facility
Providing Dental Care to the Underserved
Children and adults in greater Manchester who don’t have access to dental treatment and preventive care can access these services at the Poisson Dental Facility at Catholic Medical Center. The dental facility provides dental care through an alliance with the city's health and human service agencies, including:
- Child Health Services
- Manchester Community Health Center
- Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester
- Mobile Community Health Team
- Moore Center Services
- Manchester Health Department
All Poisson Dental Facility patients must be referred by one of these agencies. The facility is not a walk-in clinic.
A Tradition of Caring
Improving the dental health of unserved and underserved populations in the area has been the focus of the Poisson Dental Facility since it was started in 1983. The family of Albert D. Poisson, a community leader and CMC trustee, established the dental facility in his memory, as well as the Albert D. Poisson Trust. Funding for the facility also comes from Medicaid reimbursement, agency fees and state grant monies.
