Our MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner allows for advanced imaging studies and its increased speed provides greater patient comfort. We offer total body imaging, including breast and prostate imaging. In addition, we offer specialty imaging specifically for patients with pacemakers.
MRI exams are now easier and more comfortable than ever before. The roominess of our 70 cm/27.5 inch Open Bore will accommodate a large variety of patient sizes, shapes and conditions. And many studies can be completed with the patient’s head outside the machine which helps reduce fear and anxiety of claustrophobic patients. The extra wide design also helps accommodate larger patients and has noise reduction features which contribute to a quieter exam.
Because the information obtainable with this procedure can have great value in diagnosing problems and guiding treatments, some patients who are in severe pain or claustrophobic may be prescribed a sedative by their provider.
