Infusion therapy allows patients to safely receive a medication intravenously, through injections or in an epidural (injected into spinal cord membranes). It may be used for antibiotic treatment, cancer treatments, as a means of managing dehydration, gastrointestinal disorders and many other applications. It is often prescribed when a patient’s condition is severe and cannot be treated effectively with oral medications.
The CMC Infusion Suite at Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center allows you to receive the best treatment close to home. Our team works in collaboration with your physician and specialists on your care.
