For over 100 years, CMC has been fulfilling its mission of providing health, healing and hope to the people of NH and I am honored to serve as President and CEO of this organization. As one of New Hampshire’s largest healthcare organizations, we are committed to our vision of becoming the finest patient experience, lowest cost and best outcome provider in the region.
CMC’s commitment to improving the patient’s care and experience is evident by our recognitions for quality and patient satisfaction. We are proud to be recognized as one of the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the Nation by Truven Health Analytics™ 2014 and The Joint Commission named CMC one of the Top Performers on Key Quality Measures. While these recognitions are significant, it is the personal letters and thank you messages from our patients and their families that truly represent CMC’s dedication to improving the health of our community.
In today’s turbulent healthcare environment we also need to focus on evolving from volume-based (payments based on the number of patients we see) to value-based (payments based on the quality of care we provide to patients) and we are proud of our progress to-date. We are participating in both the Anthem Patient Centered Primary Care (PC2) program and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock allwell™ ACO. CMC is a proud member of Granite Healthcare Network (GHN) - a partnership of five independent New Hampshire charitable community health systems (Catholic Medical Center, Concord Hospital, LRGHealthcare, Southern New Hampshire Health System, and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital) leading the transformation of health care delivery in the communities they serve. GHN members are committed to sharing resources to provide better, more seamless, and less expensive care for their patients.
Our organization has also been focused on growing and enhancing our services. We have expanded our vascular services with Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Parkland Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, opened a heart and vascular interventional unit and announced our telestroke program through our relationship with Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Mayo Clinic to enhance our award winning stroke program. We are proud of our continued collaborative spirit with critical access hospitals throughout the State to focus on improving the quality of care available to their patients and the communities they serve.
It is with great pride that I share these efforts and thank you for your continued support in our organization.
