Catholic Medical Center (CMC) is grateful for the generosity of its supporters in raising more than $170,000 for CMC’s Emergency Department (ED) at the 19th Annual CMC Gala. CMC’s signature event, held Friday, November 3, was attended by close to 250 donors and supporters at the Manchester Country Club.

“We are so grateful to our dedicated supporters and community members,” stated Alex Walker, CMC’s President & CEO. “Through their generosity, we will be able to expand patient programs, invest in technology and purchase life-saving equipment for our emergency department. Over 35,000 patients are seen in our ED annually, many with serious medical conditions. These cases are often more complex than in the past and so these funds will enable our ED staff to provide a higher level of acute care to our patients when every moment counts.”

Additionally, Rick Botnick, a former CMC board chair, was honored for his philanthropic endeavors and unwavering spirit with the Charles F. Whittemore Award. Rick’s relationship with CMC spans more than a decade including his tenure as a trustee on the CMC Board of Trustees beginning in 2013. He has proven to be an outstanding advocate for CMC’s mission and values, exemplifying a true commitment to Catholic healthcare within our community. Rick’s dedication to his community reaches far beyond CMC, as he has actively contributed to various boards and organizations that play vital roles in enhancing the quality of life in the region. CMC is blessed to have the support of such a dedicated ambassador who embodies its mission and values.
