Long-time Catholic Medical Center executive Alex Walker assumed the role of CMC President and Chief Executive Officer on July 1, 2021. Walker was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CMC. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of CMC’s operations and strategy. He has also served as CMC’s Senior Vice President for Strategic Development and General Counsel. Alex has been actively involved in the community for many years. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the University System of New Hampshire and on the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts. In 2019 and 2020 he co-chaired the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund with his wife, Lisa. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Palace Theatre, and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Granite United Way. He has also served on the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Board of Governors, the New Hampshire Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission, the Board of Directors of City Year—New Hampshire, the Board of Directors for the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire, and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where he served as Chairman of the Board in 2011. Alex graduated from Northeastern University School of Law. He has a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in English and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He also proudly served for several years in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to joining CMC in 2012, Alex was president & CEO of Devine Millimet & Branch, a Manchester-based law firm. He resides in Manchester with his wife Lisa and their two children, Rose and Alexander. Alex is a recipient of the 2016 Pastoral Counseling Services Good Samaritan Award, the 2013 Harvard Pilgrim Foundation’s Community Service Award, the 2015 American Hospital Association’s Grassroots Champion Award; and the 2017 New Hampshire Hospital Association’s Leslie A. Smith President’s Award. He has also been recognized as a New England Super Lawyer and among the Best Lawyers in America.
