Just two years after moving into the Holiday Inn on Brown Avenue, Catholic Medical Center’s New England Sleep Center has added more space and an additional doctor to the team. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pulmonologist Mark Pohlman, MD, who also works in CMC’s Intensive Care Unit, is now seeing patients at the Sleep Center alongside George Neal, MD.
“We’ve seen a significant uptick in the number of patients seeking our services since moving to this location,” says Bonnie McGuire, Sleep Center Manager. “We’re excited to be able to offer them additional resources in Dr. Pohlman and we are looking forward to helping more Granite Staters realize the health benefits of a better night’s sleep.”
Since moving from the hospital to the Holiday Inn, McGuire reports patients are more satisfied with their Sleep Center experience, having a private, more comfortable room for their sleep study and being able to have all of their visits in one place.
The New England Sleep Center will host a Community Sleep Wellness Fair this Saturday, October 21st, from 10 AM – 3 PM at their facility in the first floor of the Holiday Inn on Brown Avenue, Manchester. Visitors can tour the Sleep Center, meet staff, and learn more about the many forms of sleep disorder and how to get a better night’s sleep. There will also be giveaways for a good night’s sleep, a sleep wellness raffle basket, and light refreshments.
“Many of our patients don’t even realize they have a sleep disorder until they’re referred to us by another doctor or their partner brings up the issue,” says McGuire. “Discovering a better night’s sleep can help everything from your heart and neurological function to your mood and eating habits.”
