CMC was awarded the “Top Host Site in the State” of 2014 by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) for their Driver Safety Program.
The award was given to CMC for hosting 12 different classes with 91 total participants. The program consists of educating drivers of changes in traffic law, as well as minimizing crash risk and ultimately increasing their confidence behind the wheel.
CMC provides information for this program in their Healthy Living News newsletter. The course costs $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 for non-AARP members. The course is a total of seven hours in one sitting, and can earn you discounts on your auto insurance. Check with your provider and see if this discount works in your premium.
“They do a lot more than just offer their beautiful conference room,” said former AARP Driver Safety Program instructor Duane Lighthall. “They call you if the class has to be cancelled for the snow…they really put in the extra effort to make our lives easier,” said Lighthall.
CMC offers Call Center Communications to alert participants of cancellations of the classes and future classes that they can attend.
