Catholic Medical Center’s Luc Ouellet, R.N., was chosen to receive the St. Martin de Porres Award by the NH Guild of Catholic Healthcare Professionals on Wednesday Evening. This award is given annually to a Catholic healthcare professional who exemplifies the virtues of Catholic healthcare.
For an individual to achieve the St. Martin de Porres Award, they must be a Catholic healthcare professional in the Diocese of Manchester. Furthermore, they must show compassion for and selfless dedication to the sick and demonstrate care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. “We are proud that one of our own has been recognized for further demonstrating CMC’s mission to provide our patients with compassion and respect for the human dignity,” says Marc Guillemette M.S., M.Div, Director Office of Catholic Identity.
Ouellet was born and grew up in the West Side of Manchester and has been a nurse at Catholic Medical Center for over 17 years, the last nine of which have been in the Emergency Department. He has been married to his wife, Celeste, for 21 years and they have four children ranging from 12 to 18 years of age. Ouellet and his family are active members of Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester..

nd, Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, D.D., Bishop of Manchester, celebrated the annual White Mass for healthcare professionals at St. Joseph Cathedral in Manchester, New Hampshire. The NH Guild of Catholic Healthcare Professionals honored Luc Ouellet with the 2015 St. Martin de Porres Award during a reception at the New Hampshire Institute of Art immediately following the White Mass.
