Manchester VA at CMC offers convenient solution for certain procedures

Catholic Medical Center opened its doors today to Manchester VA Medical Center patients as part of a new collaboration with the facility, Manchester VA at CMC. For the next several months, VAMC patients can have endoscopies and other same-day procedures, performed by their VAMC provider, at CMC. The arrangement allows for uninterrupted, convenient care while repairs are made to the VAMC after a pipe burst and building flood last month.

“At CMC, we’re driven by our mission of providing health, healing and hope. We’re very pleased to be working with the Manchester VA to ensure that vets receive high-quality and accessible care,” said CMC Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Alex Walker. “CMC is looking forward to continuing to serve our veterans. We reached out to Mr. Montoya and the VMAC to offer help after the recent building flood, but we look forward to being a resource long after repairs are made.”

“Veterans deserve nothing but the best, and this exciting collaboration is just one step towards ensuring Veterans needs are met,” said Alfred Montoya, Acting Director of Manchester VAMC, who arrived at CMC Thursday morning to greet the first patients. “Our partners at CMC are committed to Veterans and ensuring their well-being. The immediate extension of support from Alex Walker is a testament to that commitment.”

Appointments, care, and billing for Manchester VA at CMC are still being handled through the Manchester VA and patients should call their regular provider to schedule services (800-892-8384 x3199).
