Wellpoint Foundation has generously made a three-year $120,000 commitment to
the Meds for Manchester program at Catholic Medical Center. The donated funds
will support two part-time staff members who will work with patients who cannot
afford to purchase the prescriptions they need to maintain their health. Since its
inception, the Meds for Manchester program has helped over 3,000 chronically ill
people receive the medication they need but cannot afford.
Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation has donated $95,000 since 2005 in support of the development and purchase of equipment for a special care nursery at The Mom’s Place. Donations from the foundation have helped to support training and equipment vital to the continued healthy development of preterm babies born at The Mom’s Place.
The Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund has generously donated funds over the past several years in support of such projects as lead testing for uninsured or underinsured children, prenatal testing for uninsured or underinsured pregnant women and dental care for low income children and adults.
