When we decided to bring the babies back to Catholic Medical Center, we knew that the little things make a big difference. So we asked the experts – moms – what they wanted in a birthing center.

"I want a spacious, comfortable room that looks and feels more like a country inn than a hospital."
Consider it done. With seven custom-decorated rooms to choose from, you can tour the room you may want to request, if it is available. Our birthing suites offer large birthing beds, attractive decor, and soothing lighting. Each room also includes hand-painted custom armoire, TVor VCR, daybed for overnight guests, rocker, recliner, fridge, and microwave. Also, a private bathroom features a whirlpool tub for comfort.

"I want one room for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum."
No problem. Assuming a normal, healthy birth, you will remain in the same birthing suite throughout your stay. Of course, in the event of a problem, our transfer program will provide immediate access to high-risk specialists.

"I want to know that my baby and I will receive the right care, should any complications occur."
At The Mom’s Place, we recognize birth as a miraculous and normal part of life. Here, we focus on well moms and babies. But while most births occur without any complications, we do have the medical backup for those unexpected moments. Should the need arise, we also have in place a transfer agreement to neonatal care, where the primary mission is to care for newborns with special medical needs.

"I want to be able to rest, too."
We offer a Baby Lounge for those moments when you may want to sleep undisturbed – that’s okay here. We have installed the latest in security to protect your baby. We also have a family room for your guests, for times when you need temporary privacy.

"I want a place to sleep for dad to sleep or other visiting family members to sit comfortably."
We know that dad and other important people often play a major role in your birthing experience. Each suite offers a comfortable day bed for overnight guests. For comfortable seating, there’s also a comfy recliner.

"I want a staff that respects my personal birthing philosophy."
