The Surgery Department at CMC currently has ten surgical suites; of which seven are general, two are cardiac and one is a urology suite. Our highly skilled staff takes pride in promoting an atmosphere that is safe, comfortable and empathetic while delivering comprehensive care. The Ambulatory Surgery Care Unit at CMC provides specialized care to patients who may not be a candidate for anesthesia outside of a hospital setting.
The preoperative interview for the surgical outpatient and observation status patients are performed by the Ambulatory Surgery staff. All patients that are admitted the day of their surgery are assessed in this area. Patients are pre-assessed prior to the day of surgery by telephone or in person.
