Caring Inpatient Therapy to Maximize Independence
If you or someone you love has experienced a stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular disorder, dysphagia, orthopedic disorder or another condition, you want professional, compassionate care and individualized therapy that allows for a return to maximum independence as soon as possible. The staff at the Rehabilitation Medicine Unit (RMU) at CMC is focused on providing this type and level of care to patients in the hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Catholic Medical Center’s RMU is unique in New Hampshire, as it was the first rehabilitation facility located within a comprehensive regional medical center to provide complete healthcare services. You — and your family members — can have confidence that you will receive expert medical attention, as well as superb rehabilitative care.

The unit's philosophy stresses the family's involvement in a patient's rehabilitation process. Dedicated rehabilitation specialists work together with patients and their families to develop individualized rehabilitative programs. As your essential skills are restored and small tasks are accomplished, the team supports and encourages you to maximize your rehabilitation progress, taking into consideration your individual needs and goals.
