Catholic Medical Center's Nurse Extern Program is on hold for summer of 2012. We plan to bring the program back the summer of 2013.
The Nurse Extern Program is a seven-week summer program designed to provide clinical nurse experiences, which will strengthen the knowledge base of the nursing student the summer before they graduate.
The work experience will provide the opportunity to apply student learning in clinical settings, to practice newly learned skills and to develop nursing judgments, all under the direct supervision of an experienced professional nurse.
