Our current CT scanner is a General Electric CT/I subsecond scanner with helical/spiral and CT fluoroscopic capabilities. This allows for a wide range of imaging procedures from a routing exam to bi-phasic and tri-phasic injection studies as well as vascular and bone 3-D imaging.
CT fluoroscopy advances the technology to perform interventional procedures such as biopsies, pain management and drainage procedures with CT guidance.
We offer other CT capabilities such as 3-D and multi-reformation images and a bone mineral analysis program for patients unable to have a DEXA osteoporosis study.
VCT 64-Slice Scanner
With Catholic Medical Center’s acquisition of GE Healthcare’s LightSpeed® VCT 64-slice CT Scanner, we can capture images of organs in a one-second scan, the entire heart and coronary structures in five seconds and a whole body vascular scan in ten. The LightSpeed VCT represents the next evolution in diagnostic imaging capabilities. It doesn’t just do it faster – it does it better and with more comfort.
Catholic Medical Center is the first community-based hospital in the greater Manchester area to acquire this technology.
We continue to be at the forefront of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and advanced diagnostic medical imaging.
