The Diabetes Resource Institute at Catholic Medical Center is one of southern New Hampshire’s finest community resources, dedicated to the education, prevention and support of patients diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Here at the Diabetes Resource Institute, we help our patients and their families learn how to live well with diabetes. Our team of professional educators work collaboratively with each patient’s primary care provider to provide comprehensive and personalized diabetes self management skills. Educational services are provided by our expert staff who teaches real-life, day-to-day solutions for nutrition, exercise and medication management.
The key to managing diabetes is knowledge – knowing what to expect, what to do and/or whom to call for assistance. This means far greater freedom to participate in any activities you choose, and therefore, greater control over your life. Even more importantly, it has been determined that close control of your blood sugar can reduce, and even REVERSE some of the long-term complications of diabetes. Spreading that knowledge to our patients who have diabetes is our top priority at the Diabetes Resource Institute at Catholic Medical Center.
The Diabetes Resource Institute at Catholic Medical Center is proud to be recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for meeting the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Training. Recognition guarantees knowledgeable staff who provide state-of-the-art education in diabetes self management.
