Our New England Heart Institute cardiologists are Board certified. Board certification means that doctors have completed the amount of training that a specialty board requires. These physicians have practiced for a specified period of time and passed a difficult written and oral examination. Board certification is generally accepted as one indication of competence and experience.

Louis I. Fink, MD, FACC, Medical Director

Louis I. Fink, MD, FACC, Medical Director
Dr. Fink received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He served as Chief Medical Resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fink has served as President of the American Heart Association’s northern New England affiliates, and as President of the medical staff of Elliot Hospital and Catholic Medical Center. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Catholic Medical Center and he is presently the Medical Director of the New England Heart Institute. He is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.Dr. Fink is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

Steven P. Beaudette, MD, FACC
Dr. Beaudette graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. His internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiology were completed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Dr. Beaudette is Board certified in cardiovascular disease and cardiac echocardiography. He is a clinical cardiologist practicing at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, a New England Heart Institute collaborative partner hospital, where he performs diagnostic catheterizations, stress tests, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and nuclear stress tests. Dr. Beaudette is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Craig C. Berry, MD, FACC 
Dr. Berry graduated from Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School. His internship and residency were completed at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and he completed his cardiology and interventional fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Berry is Board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is the Medical Director of the Catheterization Laboratory at The Cardiovascular Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, a New England Heart Institute collaborative partner hospital, and performs cardiac interventions at Catholic Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Berry is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

Jeffrey F. Bleakley, MD, FACC
Dr. Bleakley earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, he was a Fellow in interventional cardiology at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. For two years, he served as a cardiologist at David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in California. Dr. Bleakley is Board certified cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

Daniel E. van Buren, MD
Dr. van Buren completed his undergraduate degree in psychology from Siena College and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency, chief residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. van Buren is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. He is Board eligible in cardiovascular disease and is Board certified in internal medicine,nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiography. »Top

Robert C. Capodilupo, MD, FACC 
Dr. Capodilupo completed his medical residency at Boston University Medical Center and was a Fellow in cardiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, he was a partner at Northeast Cardiology Associates in Bangor, Maine. Dr. Capodilupo is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and adult comprehensive echocardiography. He has served as Governor for the New Hampshire Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. He is the Director of the Congestive Heart Failure Program and Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology. Dr. Capodilupo is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Andrew M Cohen, MD, FACC
Dr. Cohen earned his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed his internship and residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He is Board certified in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac echocardiography. Dr. Cohen was a cardiologist with U-Mass Memorial Community Physicians before relocating to New Hampshire. His clinical interests include TEE and stress-echo, diagnostic catheterization, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and critical care medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, one of the New England Heart Institute's collaborative partner hospitals. He is also Parkland’s Director of Quality and has served as chief of staff. Dr. Cohen is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Robert C. Dewey, MD, FACC
Dr. Dewey is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., and completed his cardiology fellowship at The University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington. He is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Past President of the New Hampshire Affiliate of the American Heart Association, and served on the Board of the New England Affiliate of the American Heart Association. Dr. Dewey was recognized by the American Heart Association as the volunteer of the year for New Hampshire. His professional interests include clinical, diagnostic and interventional cardiology as well as nuclear cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

Philip J. Fitzpatrick, MD, FACC
Dr. Fitzpatrick completed his undergraduate degree in psychology and biology from Georgetown University and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at Albany Medical Center in New York and a fellowship in cardiology at New England Deaconess Hospital. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, Dr. Fitzpatrick was an attending physician with the Interventional Cardiology Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for fifteen years. He was the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Dr. Fitzpatrick is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top
James M. Flynn, MD, FACC
Dr. Flynn earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, he was a Fellow in interventional cardiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Flynn was also a founding member of the Nebraska Heart Hospital and a partner in the Nebraska Heart Institute. Dr. Flynn is Board certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

David J. Goldberg, MD, FACC
Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. He completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in CT, and his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, where he completed a fourth year in interventional cardiology. His areas of particular expertise include interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Goldberg is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Goldberg is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Catholic Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. »Top

William C. Graff, MD, FACC
Dr. Graff received his medical degree from the Faculté de Médicine Cochin-Port Royal in Paris, France. He completed an internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Albany Medical Center in New York. He is Board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, critical care medicine and cardiac CT. Dr. Graff is a clinical cardiologist with areas of interest in echocardiography, cardiac CT and diagnostic catheterization. He is the Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Catholic Medical Center. Dr. Graff has a level 3 certification in echocardiography and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Stephen U. Hanlon, MD, FACC
Dr. Hanlon completed his undergraduate degree from Duke University and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, California. He completed a cardiology fellowship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and has additional training in echocardiography and cardiac CT. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute,  Dr. Hanlon was the Chief of Cardiology Services at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews AFB, Maryland. Dr. Hanlon is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology,cardiac CT and adult echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top
Connor J. Haugh, MD, FACC
Dr. Haugh is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. His internship, residency, and four-year cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships were completed at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Haugh is Board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. In addition to diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms using pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and catheter ablation, Dr. Haugh is the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology. He has been recognized as New Hampshire’s AHA volunteer of the year. Dr. Haugh also serves on the Board of Directors for Catholic Medical Center and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Jamie H. Kim, MD, FACC
Dr. Kim earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, and his medical degree from Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a fellowship in cardiology and a subspecialty fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital.Dr. Kim is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Peter T. Klementowicz, MD, FACC
Dr. Klementowicz graduated from Harvard College and Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was Chief Medical Resident. He was an instructor in medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He serves on the Nashua Board of Public Health, and was a governor for the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Klementowicz has additional expertise in pacemakers and is NASPE certified and is the only Board-certified cardiologist and lipidologist in New Hampshire. He is also Board Certified in Echocardiography. He serves as the Medical Director of the Cholesterol Management Center at the New England Heart Institute. Dr. Klementowicz is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Mark J. Liebling, MD, FACC
 Dr. Liebling received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his internship and medical residency at San Francisco General Hospital, where he was later Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of California Hospitals in San Francisco. He is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease. Dr. Liebling practices at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, a New England Heart Institute collaborative partner hospital. He has a particular interest in noninvasive approaches to the management of cardiac disease and preventative care. Dr. Liebling is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Richard D. Patten, MD, FACC
Dr. Patten completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Colby College and earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his medical residency and a clinical heart failure fellowship at the University of Maryland and a cardiology fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, Dr. Patten was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and Associate Medical Director for the Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Program at Tufts Medical Center. He was also an Investigator within the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts. Dr. Patten is Board certified in cardiovascular disease advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. »Top

Daniel M. Philbin, MD, FACC
Dr. Philbin earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale University, where he also completed a medical residency and fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society while at Yale. Prior to joining the New England Heart Institute, Dr. Philbin was the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. He is Board certified in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm society. »Top
