About the Murphy Unit
The Murphy Unit is named after Dr. Richard Murphy, a well-known and respected physician in the community. The Murphy Unit was rededicated on December 13, 1999. Mrs. Richard Murphy and her two sons were present for the rededication. The Murphy Unit provides medical and surgical care to patients and focuses on most forms of cancer treatment, pain management and palliative care.
