Who are the Catholic Medical Center (CMC) Associates?
The CMC Associates is composed of volunteers, employees and friends of CMC who share an interest in our hospital and its mission to provide health, healing and hope to all. For more than 30 years, CMC Associate members have raised funds for hospital services and programs, contributed to giving campaigns, coordinated and hosted a variety of activities and events and encouraged camaraderie and support to the hospital as it provides quality patient-focused health care.

Revenue from gift shop sales, raffles and events as well as membership dues contribute to CMC’s ability to purchase new technology aiding the advancement of being at the forefront of the most technological advancements. CMC Associates are goodwill ambassadors of CMC. The enthusiasm, support and fund raising projects of the CMC Associates result in community interest and strengthen the link between the hospital and the community we serve.

Why join the CMC Associates?
The CMC Associates support the financial development of programs at Catholic Medical Center. Associate members play a large part in the planning and execution of creative and fun activities to build community among CMC employees and the community we serve. As a member of the CMC Associates you will meet new people and learn about Catholic Medical Center and the programs offered to the community. Associate members volunteer to support existing programs and future fundraising initiatives.

It is nice to know that you played a role in the continuance of these important programs as you or someone you love may need them someday.

What is the difference between a CMC volunteer and an Associate?
CMC Associates help to support the programs offered in the hospital by organizing community fundraising events. CMC Volunteers is a separate program for the purpose of helping with specific tasks within the organization.

What have the CMC Associates done recently?
The CMC Associates was the largest donor for the Building a New Era of Medicine - The Campaign for Catholic Medical Center by making a pledge of $270,000. Since making the pledge, the Associates have run golf tournaments, a raffle for a Harley Davison motorcycle, an outdoor kitchen and grill, and a large screen television. They also run bake sales and flowers sales. In addition, the Catholic Medical Center Associates manage the Hospital Gift Shop.

How are the Associates organized?
The Associates are lead by a Board of Directors which consists of eleven members. The Directors meet on a monthly basis to decide on which fundraising activities will take place and where the funds will be directed. The members-at-large meet on a quarterly basis. Members join event subcommittees that may meet more often to plan events, raffles or other fundraisers.

What is the cost to join the Associates?
The annual membership dues are $25. Dues are deposited and used in support of fundraising events.

What are the benefits of joining the Associates?
Associates are entitled to inside tours of Catholic Medical Center technologies and departments like The Mom’s Place, the Breast Care Center and more. Additional benefits include:
